Iman El Nahrawi
Iman El Nahrawi is an Egyptian-British language trainer, academic manager, and contracts manager. She worked in a language and cultural awareness centre whose primary client dealt with government contracts. She specialises in cultural awareness and teaching as well as client engagement.
For over a dozen years, she taught multiple Arabic language related courses, including Modern Standard Arabic and the Egyptian dialect. As a native Cairene, a large part of her work focused on social media in Egypt with a strong focus on cultural awareness. She is dedicated to building bridges and facilitating communication between clients and their target culture.
As an academic manager, she was responsible for overseeing courses related to the MENA region, and as a cultural manager she oversaw a team of academic managers who dealt with 20 languages between them.

Kathy Girling is a highly experienced English language trainer, courseware developer and teacher trainer. Over the last 20 years, she has managed major corporate and European / UK Government sector multi-language projects. Working with culturally diverse teams in the UK, Poland, Greece, France and Kurdistan, she has created outstanding learning materials for the oil & gas, defence, security, blue light, financial and commercial sectors.
She consults closely with clients to identify their training requirements and structure intelligent, agile training solutions for face-to-face, eLearning or blended programmes.
A passionate citizen-scientist, she has developed a comprehensive Learning to Learn guide that can be embedded into any corporate training programme. Stephen has been developing business talent throughout his 30-year industry career in aerospace and advanced technology organisations and has extensive and practical international experience having led, transformed and developed businesses in the UK, Germany, France, Singapore, the Middle East and the USA.
As a graduate of the Meyler Campbell Mastered Coaching Programme, Stephen now continues his professional career in executive leadership coaching, mentoring and consulting. Stephen brings with him considerable practical experience of strategic and operational leadership, recognising, developing and promoting talented people and building exceptionally performing teams.
Steve retired from the United Kingdom’s Civil Service, with forty years’ service in Government. He mainly served in the UK Ministry of Defence in DESO (Defence Export Services Organisation). Lately, he was serving on the Middle East Desk of the Defence and Security Organisation of the Department for International Trade (formerly known as UKTI) where he was the Regional Marketing lead for the Middle East, notably Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
He has been the Head of the DESO Exhibitions and Events branch and prior to that he was Desk Officer for Africa, notably preparing the way for defence sales to South Africa before and after the UN Arms Embargo was removed. He has worked well with foreign nationals, UK Government officials and private industry to achieve UK export success.
Steve has experience of working in Government acquisition and purchased for the British Army; Heavy Ammunition and Electro Optical equipment including placement of Laser research contracts. He has served with the Royal Naval Reserve, specialising in mine warfare, but then joined the British Army’s Honourable Artillery Company - Home Service Force, in a counter terrorism role. Steve has achieved the Certificate of Public Sector Delivery and the St Andrew’s University’s Certificate of Terrorism Studies.
Steve serves as the Marketing Director of Ionian Pello Tech Ltd, an exciting environmental science company with unique counter storm surge and tsunami technology.
Steve also works as an advocate for Northcott Global Solutions who provide tracking and safe evacuation from the world’s more troublesome markets.

Zara de Haldevang
Zara is a freelance Project Director, heavily focusing on Events and Brands. With over 12 years of experience in the events industry, the more recent years have seen her direct the accounts of Fever-Tree and Tails (Bacardi), operating over 150 shows all over the UK. She has also built teams of up to 200 staff, from bar staff to Junior Project Managers, as well as handled multiple brand activation accounts including Wondering Wine, London Cocktail Week and Govino.
Having been brought up in Oman and Bahrain, Zara spent the majority of her life living abroad. On her last return to London in 2013, she was appointed as the Events and Music Director for the US Ambassador Matthew Barzun at Winfield House. From managing the Winfield House Sessions and London Fashion Week, to project managing the July 4 and Invictus Games, her passion lies in events and, more importantly, people.
Zara is a LinkedIn Hospitality Leader and runs her own consultancy firm for hospitality, brands and events.
